Nette Cooking-OishiSarap Channel!-Filipino Cooking in Japan; Palitaw is another very popular and favorite Filipino dessert (merienda snack), it is a type of flat rice cake made from sweet rice or MALAGKIT or glutinous rice flour, today I made this Palitaw with my choice of filling of ube halaya (sweetened purple yam) and milk caramel spread and served with fresh grated coconut with sugar and grounded sesame seeds.Give a try and enjoy this simple, quick and easy to prepare but delightful yummy dessert
PALITAW with filling (please watch video below for procedure)
2 1/2 cups glutinous rice flour
1 cup water
6 tbsp white sugar
fresh grated coconut
toasted sesame seeds(grounded)
filling; (with your choice)
halayang ube (sweetened purple yam)
milk caramel spread
with water until incorporated and smooth
roll into a balls and flaten with your palm
and carefully press the edges to sealed
Brings a lot large cooking pot of water
Boiled and add the made palitaw balls
for about 5 to 8 minutes
from boiling water
When cool and enough to handle
roll into fresh grated coconut and sugar mix
or grounded sesame seeds and sugar mix
