Checkerboard Cookies recipe
Ingredients:
2 cups all purpose flour (sifted)
100 grams unsalted butter (R.T)
2/3 cup granulated sugar
1 raw egg
3 tbsp cocoa powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp salt
Cream the butter, then add sugar
beat until combine
Add egg and beat until smooth and fluffy
Add sifted all purpose flour and salt
mix well until well incorporated
Divide the dough in two
Add cocoa powder in half (we need more
cocoa dough than white dough)
Set aside 1/3 part of cocoa dough
Wrap white dough in a plastic wrap
with 10 X 15 cm rectangle size
Using rolling pin distribute the dough in
plastic wrap and all corners evenly
and make 1 cm thick ,make same
procedure to cocoa dough
In a plastic wrap place the remaining
1/3 part of the cocoa dough,fold the
plastic wrap with 15 X 25 cm then
use rolling pin and flatten the dough
inside the plastic wrap evenly
Refrigerate again for 30 minutes to 1 hour
