My favorite! tasty and delicious Ginataang Sitaw at Kalabasa ,
squash and string beans with shrimps cooked in coconut milk...
Ginataang Sitaw at Kalabasa(please watch video below for cooking procedure)
Ingredients:
500 grams kalabasa / squash
300 grams string beans / sitaw
2 cans coconut milk (4 cups)
fresh shrimps
minced garlic
chopped onion
ginger
bagoong alamang (shrimp paste)
ground black pepper
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp cooking oil
Heat oil in a pan,saute garlic and onion
Add shrimps, fry until change color
remove shrimps from the pan, set aside...
Add and saute bagoong
with garlic and onion
Add coconut milk and ginger
bring to a boil
Add squash,cover and cook until
medium/ half cooked
Add string beans
Add the shrimps and season with
ground black pepper and salt, add
bagoong or salt if necessary
Cover and simmer again for few seconds
Taste and correct seasoning
turn off the heat and transfer to a
serving plate,now it's ready to serve!
