Tinolang manok w/ Chayote
(please watch video below for cooking procedure)
Ingredients:
500 grams chicken with bones
1 tbsp minced garlic
1 tbsp ginger (cut into strips)
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 large chayote
2 cups cut spinach
2 pieces long green chili
1 tbsp patis (fish sauce)
1 tbsp cooking oil
salt
ground black pepper
water
Heat oil in a cooking pot
Saute garlic, ginger and onion
Add chicken, stir until change color
Add patis,salt and pepper,stir
Cover and simmer for few secons
Add water
Bring to a boil
Cover and cook until tender
Add chayote
Cover,(don't over cook the chayote)
Add spinach and long green chili
Taste and correct seasoning
Cover and turn off the heat
Serve hot
