Filipino Cooking in Japan; Maruya is one of traditional Filipino dessert made from saba banana or cassava, today I made this Maruya from saba bananas flour, sugar, milk and egg, then fried them until golden brown and lightly crisp and coated with granulated sugar, give a try and enjoy this yummy dessert for perfect snack / merienda.

Ingredients:
6 pieces ripe saba bananas
1 cup all purpose flour
1 cup white sugar
1 cup fresh milk or evap milk
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 raw egg
1 tsp vanilla extract or essence
cooking oil for frying
