Filipino Cooking in Japan;= Kalamay is a sticky sweet delicacy made with glutinous rice flour or MALAGKIT na GALAPONG, coconut milk and sugar, and topped with latik(coconut milk curd).There are many variations of KALAMAY making in different region in the Philippines it is also very popular and Filipinos favorite rice dessert or KAKANIN. Today I made this with brown sugar which is called KALAMAY HATI, I don't really even know why it is called Kalamay Hati, but for me myself it more better to call Kalamay Halo(Stir) because it is cooked and stir for almost 45 minutes until the perfect consistency of the kalamay dough comparing to Kalamay LANSONG(Steamed) Kalamay cooked in steamer that's why it is called Kalamay Lansong, I just thought and called this KALAMAY HALO...
