"Especial Nilupak"(ube, saging, kamoteng kahoy)

Filipino Cooking in Japan;=Nilupak is a traditional Filipino delicacy made of cooked / mashed ube halaya(purple sweetened purple yam) Saba banana and Kamoteng kahoy(cassava), very simple and easy to prepare. Give a Try this yummy and delightful dessert and ENJOY!

                                                                    Ingredients;
                                           6 pieces saba banana(boiled)
                                           2 cups grated cassava(fresh or frozen)
                                           1 1/2 cups ube hallaya(sweetened purple yam)
                                           1 cup buko(young coconut meat)
                                           1 1/2 cups fresh grated coconut
                                           1 cup light brown sugar
                                           1 cup purple condensed milk
                                           2 tbsp softened butter
                                           1 cup grated cheese
                                              ube(purple) color flavoring essence

"Pork and Chicken Adobo(sa achuete and tuemeric powder)

Filipino Cooking in Japan;=Adobo is Filipino's very popular and favorite food dish, there are many variations of Adobo recipes such as meat, fish, sea foods or vegetables. Today I made this pork and chicken Adobo sa achuete (or anatto) and turmeric powder which is pork and chicken marinated with minced garlic, ground black pepper and salt for about an hour, fry and lightly brown in oil then cooked and simmered with vinegar and soy sauce until meat is tender and the sauce thickened, this recipe is really tasty and delicious, please give a try ENJOY and SHARE to your family, relatives and friends..
                                                   Chicken and Pork Adobo

                                                                Ingredients;
                                          500 grams chicken with bones
                                          500 grams pork belly
                                          1 tbsp minced garlic
                                          1/4 tsp ground black peper
                                          1 tsp salt
                                          1 tsp anatto powder(achuete)
                                          1 tsp turmeric powder
                                          5 tbsp vinegar
                                          2 tbsp soy sauce
                                          2 pieces bay leaves
                                          1 tbsp cooking oil
                                          1 cup water(or more)

"Sotanghon Soup"

Filipino Cooking in Japan;=Sotanghon Soup is a Filipino noodle soup version, it is very simple and easy to prepare, this tasty delicious soup dish is made of vermicelli(or cellophane glass noodle) simmer and cook with chicken or pork broth soup and adding some vegetables, it is good to serve hot especially during cold winter season..

                                                                  Ingredients:
                                           200 grams sotanghon noodles
                                           300 grams boiled chicken breast(shredded)
                                           200 grams boiled pork cut into sm. pieces
                                           5-6 cups or  more soup broth from boiled meat
                                              1 tbsp minced garlic
                                              1 cup minced onions
                                              1 medium carrot(cut into sm. pieces)
                                              1 cup shitake mushrooms(cut into sm. pieces)
                                              1 tbsp patis(fish sauce)
                                              1 tsp anato powder
                                              1 tbsp cooking oil
                                            1/4 cabbage head shredded
                                                  salt and pepper to taste
                                                  additional water for soup
                                           Lightly fry pork and chicken in a cooking pot
                                           Set aside
                                            Heat oil in acooking pot, saute garlic
                                            onion, carrot and shiitake mushrooms
                                            stir thoroughly for about 1 minute
                                           Add pork and chicken stir 
                                           Add salt and pepper, stirring continuously 
                                           until oil coated all the ingredients
                                            Add soup broth, bring to a boil
                                           Add anato powder dissolved in water
                                           Bring to a boil and simmer for about a minute
                                           Add shredded cabbage and sotanghon noodles
                                           Cook for another 2 minutes 
                                           Turn off the heat and cover
                                            Let stands for about 2 minutes before serving

"Macaroni Chicken Salad"(with cheese and condensed milk)

This is simple and easy Macaroni Chicken Salad, Today I made this by adding a little amount of condensed milk and grated cheese and it gives a perfect balance and makes it tasty and more creamy and delicious.

                                                           Ingredients;
                                           300 grams salad macaroni (boiled and drained)
                                           300 grams chicken breast 
                                                 (boiled and finely shredded)
                                           2 cups pineapple tidbits
                                           1 cup raisins
                                           1 cup ham(cut into small pieces)
                                           2 - 3 cups mayonnaise 
                                           1 cup condensed milk
                                           1 cup grated cheese
                                             (bring chicken to a boil with
                                             sliced onions, whole pepper corn, salt
                                             2 pieces bay leaves and water
