"Kalamay Lansong"

Filipino Cooking in Japan; Happy New Year To All!Learn how to make this very simple and easy sweet and delightful dessert for only few ingredients, (traditionally prepare and served during New Year especially in our Bulacan Province) KALAMAY is classic Filipino delicacy made with glutinous rice(malagkit na bigas) traditional kalamay making using GALAPONG(ground glutinous rice) there are different versions making kalamay using glutinous rice flour for convenience.

I learned this simple and easy way of making kalamay from my mother(both Kalamay Lansong or Kalamay latik in syrup) just steamed the kalamay dough allow to cool and sprinkle with latik(coconut curds) on top for Kalamay Lansong, or cut into deseired size or shapes and soak kalamay in sweet syrup flavored with pandan and langka(jack fruit) for kalamay sa latik with syrup. Give a try this tradional Filipino yummy and delightful dessert, ENJOY!

                                           500 grams glutinous rice flour
                                           3 cans coconut milk (1 can for latik)
                                           1 1/2 cups white sugar
